What is your name? Anabel Erinn Moore. But everyone calls me Erinn. I'm named after my grandmas Ana and Belle, so being Erinn made things easier.

How old are you? 28. At least until April 2.

What type of house do you live in? It's a duplex town house. Reminds me of the brownstones you see on television. Bedroom and the office are upstairs. Its sunny. I like it.

Who are the members of your family? What are they like? What do your parents do? My mother was Velia Rosa Jimenez, Daddy called her Vee. She was amazing. Momma was the school social worker for the elementary school I went to, worked there from the time she got her MSW until she got to sick to work. Even when she was sick and in pain, she smiled and told jokes and never really let on how bad it was until the end. She had ovarian cancer and passed away when I was 8. That's when we moved from Tennessee to Bethesda, MD.

My dad is Ronald Thomas Moore. He's a retired cop, currently living by himself in the house he grew up in in Bethesda. Daddy's a funny man, loud and gregarious. Despite his gruff appearance, Daddy's really one of the most laid back guys I've ever met. I see him about every few weeks, depending on either of our schedules.

Belle is my Grandma, Dad's mom. She's a fiesty old lady who lives in Atlanta with my aunt Josie and Uncle Ted. She's who I want to be - she gives no shit and takes no shit.

Ana is my abuelita. She's my mom's mom and lives in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I haven't seen her in years. Our relationship was never really the same after my mom died.

Where were you born? Pigeon Forge TN. It's about 15 minutes outside Gatlinburg, or 45 minutes from Knoxville. Depending on which way you're driving.

What is the object in your bedroom that you love most? I have a Welsh love spoon that was given to my great great great grandparents as a wedding gift. It's over 150 years old.

What object is in your closet that you never use but don't want to part with? I have few things. I have my wedding dress- which I can't get rid of. Ever. I have a hat my mom used to wear to church. I still have my blankie. I'm kind of a pack rat.

Where did you go to college? University of Michigan.

What was the happiest day of your life? The day I got married.

What event made a lasting impression on you? My mother passing. Momma lived her life with such purpose, it made a real impact on the woman I would become.

What is your favorite saying? What do I say most often- Whatever. What's my favorite quote - "For where thou art, there is the world itself, and where though art not, desolation": Henry VI Act III Scene II

What is your favorite hobby? Knitting. I'm a secret old lady.

Are you married? Do you want to get married? Any kids? Yes. Did that already. No, not yet.

What is the secret you would tell a stranger, but not a friend? About some of the poor decisions I made- just questionable guys I got too over involved in, in more detail than my friends ever get.

What is your greatest fear? Drowning. I've only been in the ocean once, because I have this crazy fear of open water.

What is your major regret? Not spending more time in Puerto Rico. Ana won't be around forever, and I feel like there's a part of who I am that's missing because I never really got to know her as an adult. Our relationship is so different than my relationship with Nana Belle, like night and day.

What will be your deathbed advice to others? Listen to your heart, it won't ever lead you wrong.

What is your greatest flaw? Your greatest asset? I've lot lots of flaws. I'm too trusting. It's easy to fool me. I think the fact that I can keep a level head is a huge asset. Even though my job seems low pressure - I'm an ASL translator - I've been in high pressure situations: court cases, giving police statements, explaining medical procedures - if I can't hold my shit together, I can't be of any help.

What's one place you've always wanted to go? Alaska. As much as I don't like cold weather, I hear Alaskan cruises are so ridiculously beautiful I want to see it for myself.

What's one thing you've never been able to do? Whistle. No matter how hard I try, all I get is a bunch of spittle.

What one thing have you always wanted to learn but never have? I wish I could draw. I really liked arts and crafts stuff when I was younger - but then real life got in the way and I got too busy.

What's one thing you've always wanted to do and never have? Follow a rock band on tour. Just so I could say I did.

What's one thing you've always wanted to have but don't have? I don't know. I think I've been pretty lucky- I've got most everything I could ever ask for. Or a kid. I think having kids would be wonderful.

Who do you envy? People who can paint their own fingernails. Every time I try it looks like it was done by a 90 year old with the shakes.

♣ Anabel Erinn Moore. Only child of Velia and Ronald Moore. Born in Pigeon Forge, TN - lived there until she was eight, when her mother passed away. By the time she turned nine she and her father moved to Bethesda to live with her grandmother, Belle.

♣ Before the move from TN to MD, Erinn's best friend was Owen Batchelder. They grew up across the street from one another- when Velia got very sick, Owen's mom would invite her into the house for pb&j sandwiches made on graham crackers. Erinn promised that she'd write Owen when she finally settled in, but like most kids with pen pals, that never quite materialized.

♣ When the Moores moved to Bethesda, the family who lived next door to them had a deaf child. That's when Erinn became fascinated with American Sign Language. She never shied away from spending time with Lisa, and between piecing things together, books and a little help from Mrs. Campinella, she was able to get a grasp on the language.

♣ Erinn, as she's always been known, went to the University of Michigan, and got her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies. For her Masters program, she returned to the metro area, going to Gallaudet University and getting her M.A. in Interpretation. Now Erinn works with a few agencies in the area, as sort of a freelance interpreter.

♣ Like most women, Erinn has dated some... questionable characters. While she generally took it all in stride, there were a few she let get under her skin, let get a little too close for her own comfort. That's not to say there weren't a few good guys in there, like Marty, but there were definitely some questionable choices. Then she met her husband.

♣ Joe Rubenstein lights up Erinn's life. Thanks to Marty, she's found someone who makes her truly happy. They got married at the beginning of the year and are finally finding their footing as a unit.

♣ Erin and her husband live in a lofted condo near Gallaudet. It's convenient for her to work, and close to the Metro. In her spare time, she knits - always with some project or other in the works. She keeps pondering writing a children's book, dealing with deaf and hard of hearing children.
